After a very successful mission drive in the spring of 2012, the Central Catholic community was pleased to put our funds towards two wind turbines for our friends at De La Salle Blackfeet School (DLSBS) in Browning, Montana.
With the new turbines installed at the school and bunkhouse, DLSBS will not only become energy independent, they will also profit approximately $5,000 a year due to the abudance of electrictity that is unused by the school and subsequently placed back into the grid.
The Central Catholic community is blessed to have had this opportunity to assist our fellow Lasallians. We believe that this is the least that we can do to repay DLSBS for providing our students with
unprecedented hospitality over the last three years and a rich immersion opportunity full of culture, wildlife, and real world experience that could not otherwise be gained.
A new immersion group is ready to embark on another unforgettable Browning experience. As always, the Central students are excited to learn from the Blackfeet community and are looking forward to meeting the many students, teachers, and Christian Brothers about which they have heard so much.
